On July 15, 1948, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital (OLLH) opened its doors to the public. In 1957, OLLH was sold by Dr. Carlos Casas, its founder and administrator, to the Missionary Sisters, Servants of the HolySpirit (S.Sp.S.) Congregation.
Today, OLLH continues to be an instrument of the Divine Physician in providing quality health care to those in need. It is committed to fulfill its Vision of Service,
"to be a Christâcentered community of men and women of integrity who strive for both compassion and excellence in every aspect of health care delivery; recognizing each person's fundamental dignity, worth and need for respect reflecting the social and moral teachings of the Church".
In the lofty pursuit of excellence in diagnosis and treatment of the infirm, OLLH seeks:
1. To develop our human resources to their fullest potential by encouraging continuing education for our health care providers, allied medical fields and support services, producing dynamic leaders, capable and experienced staff.
2. To uphold our commitment to responsible community service by keeping abreast of advances in science, technology and research.
3. To foster an atmosphere for learning and working that allows for the integration of human capability and spiritual values.
4. To radiate Christ's compassion in our internal and external relationships, cultivating a spirit of cooperation and cohesiveness among the Sisters, medical staff and personnel. |
